The Story of Muggs and Dewey

We figured ya’ll were probably wondering how we became the official mascots at Corwin Beverage.  I mean why would two Blue Penguins and a silly Coconut be hanging out at such an awesome company?  Well let me tell you how it happened.

You see Corwin Beverage is always out and about in the community.  Just so happens they purchased a Christmas tree at this super cool event the Vancouver Rotary Club puts on every Thanksgiving weekend called Festival of Trees (you should check it out!)  Dewey and I were part of that tree’s decorations and that’s how we landed at Corwin.

The Marketing Manager at Corwin, Courtney, well she’s just plain crazy and let us stay outside her office.  You know we just scream  “hey this is the marketing office and don’t these Penguins make it look fun!”  We don’t like to toot our own ice skates but everyone really took to us.  Especially the General Manager, Vic.  He’s so kind.  For years now Vic brought us new clothes and dressed us up for new product introductions and everything.  The crew really liked seeing us and we became part of the family.

And then when they had a Hawaiian Luau to celebreate the launch of Corwin’s coffee business, Coconut Man showed up.  He doesn’t say much but he means business.

When the management team approached us to head out to spread goodwill and happiness as part of Corwin’s 70th Anniversary celebrations, we waddled at the chance.  And so here we are in our Pepsi Max Mini Cooper checking out customers and saying thanks for serving Pepsi.

We love it and we hope you enjoy reading about our adventures thru the end of September.  Oh and you can win a gift card to each location we visit by entering our sweepstakes on our Facebook page- www.facebook.com/corwinbeverage.

Until next time, keep carbonated!

Customer Thank You- Golden Skate

Dewey, Coconut Man and myself drove on over to Golden Skate this week to say thanks to John and his team for 30 years with Corwin Beverage.  If you haven’t been to Golden Skate lately you gotta check it out.

For a couple of Blue Penguins and a coconut you would think we’d rather ice skate.  But roller skating is way fun too especially under a disco ball.  There’s also a party room complete with a snack bar.  Oh, and don’t miss the regular snack bar where you can load up on sno-cones.  We’ve always  had to make our own sno-cones but these have flavored syrup! YUM!

Not a roller skater?  No problem!  Golden Skate also has lazer tag and it is so fun. Something for the whole family!  This place is awesome!

So don’t miss Golden Skate when looking for fun family time in Vancouver. FInd them at www.goldenskateandlazer.com or at 4915 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.

Tell them Dewey and Muggs sent ya.  WIN FREE ADMISSION to Golden Skate at our Facebook page.  www.facebook.com/corwinbeverage
